Black Mamba
Hand-picked herbs and, at the back of the packaging, there is space –alongside all the information that the consumer needs- to mark in longhand the details of each harvest. In that way the buyer “participates” in the process by coming into contact with the “handwriting” of a member of the Laconian Herb Society.
We wanted to capture in print the whole spirit of the area (its history, its uniqueness, the metaphor) on the packaging...
...Without them losing their clarity and communicative force.
We clearly stated from the outset what each box contains (“THIS IS…”) and this reflects the laconic (Spartan) spirit that must be present.

Placed artistically around the perimeter of the top of the packaging, we read the philosophy of the Laconian Herb Society. At the bottom of the packaging there is always an illustration of the ground, the earth, as a constant reminder of the provenance of the herbs as well as the object of the L.H.S.
The visual information is completed with illustrations (in an abstract/rough, laconic –Spartan- manner) which always depict a hand at work in a way that depends on the box contents.
